I looked deep within these walls
Hollowed by our past.
I found your letter in the foundations
Which had lasted us so long

The writing was faded
And missing words littered the pages

I shifted through the paper
And out slipped a rose
Flattened by years of dust and anguish
Withered by broken hearts bleeding through the floor.

I felt the letter crackle
And the paper start to snap
I carefully folded your letter
And put it carefully back

The walls closed there eyes
And told me not to cry
They said that pain is all in the mind

But then i felt it blooming
This warmth from inside
I touched the spot where my heart still beats
And knew that they had lied

I was bleeding from the heart
But not a cut on my skin
The blood flowed faster
Blood that still flowed within

I know that pain is real.
And that my heart is bleeding for you.
I blame the way i killed you
And i know you blame me too.

This gas mask protects me
From the poison that i am

I place my hands to the wall
And scream for forgiveness
